Great weekend at House of Metal!

I must say that the past 2 weekends have been pretty awesome...
we saw many concerts and met many other musicians.
Highlight was definitely the House of Metal here in UmeƄ.

Unfortunately we missed friday the first day, I really wanted to see UDO live, Dark Tranquillity and Aeon but I guess there will be more chances in the future.
Saturday was amazing...we fell in love with this amazing band from Switzerland, Triptycon.
It is a band formed by the old guitarist of Celtic Frost ( which is a cult band!!), I had never heard them before and I was totally sucked in into their music. They played about 1 hour and half of really claustrofobic doom metal, extremely heavy guitars and bass, tuned as low as they could possibly get...it was just so great and hypnotyzing. You could even physically feel the vibes coming from the massive speakers.
What an experience! I cannot wait to see them again.
The singer/guitarist look and sounded evil as hell, so cool!
Amr has fallen in love with their music, especially with one song called "Shattered" and has been playing it non stop for days now. It is really good.

TRIPTYCON

VANJA the bassist of Trypticon was great

After Triptycon the legendary Samael played...I didnt know what to expect, I liked them on record and I could never imagined they could be this good live!
They gave truly an amazing show!
The singer/guitarist was totally captivating, he really gave a wonderful show and was catching everyone's attention. He really has a great stage presence and knows how to give a real show!
I couldnt get enough of Samael, I really want to see them again as soon as possible.

SAMAEL

Earlier that day we even saw Impaled Nazarene. I have been wanting to see them for many years and I was very curious. They were good live, the singer seemed a total psycho and I was almost scared in the beginning but then between the songs he was saying funny things, so that lifted up my spirit :)
I thought they were going to come on stage with corpse paint, but I guess it is completely out of fashion these days. Good show though and lots of people headbanging.

We also took some pictures with the guys in Nocturnal Rites, which ended up on a metal website

And we were so lucky to get 4 guitar picks!
3 from Samael and one from Triptycon!
See it to believe it!!
